Youth Rapes Friend In Punjab, Arrested (Bathinda)

In yet another rape case, a youth raped his friend in Bhatinda on Monday.

The youth, Harpreet called his friend up late in the evening on Monday and insisted her to go out to have water-balls (gol gappe) with him.

Being friend the victim girl agreed and went to meet him along with a friend of her.

With a pretext of dropping the girls off to home on motocycle, Harpreet took them to a gym where he locked the victim girl inside a room and raped her.

Punjabi singer Sherry Mann regaled the audience at ‘Mechactaeon 2012’, a function held by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Punjab Technical University Giani Zail Singh Campus in collaboration with the food joint Moti Mahal.

The chief guest on the occasion was Urmila Singla, wife of MLA Sarup Chand Singla.

On popular demand for an encore, Mann had to sing his popular number ‘Yaar Anmulle’ repeatedly.

No exam scare for student CBSE-examinations

The CBSE exams are fast approaching and you would think that students appearing for the examsmust be a harried lot. Here’s a reality check: gone are the times when the B-word used to scare students.

Speaking to Bathinda Tribune, many students confessed that their mantra for handling the exam pressure is to take it easy and study according to a time-table and not try and do everything at the same time.

Garima Arora, a class XII student of St Xavier's School here, says she is not stressed out about the board exams although she has also been preparing for various competitive exams simultaneously.
